This page describes how Durango Advisors, LLC handles personal information collected through this website, email, and SMS.

Who we are

Durango Advisors, LLC is a Colorado limited liability company providing professional advisory services to multi-unit retail concepts, franchise systems, and the investors who back them. Our website is durangoadvisors.com.

What we collect

We collect only what you give us directly:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, optional phone number, optional company, and the message you write.
  • Email: anything you send to inquiry@durangoadvisors.com or other Durango Advisors addresses.
  • SMS: your phone number and the content of text messages you send to our published business line.
  • Voice calls: your phone number when you call us, and any voicemail you leave.
  • Basic site analytics: Cloudflare's privacy-respecting Web Analytics on the home page and the corporate booking page. No third-party advertising trackers, no Google Analytics, no Meta pixels.

We do not buy, scrape, or otherwise acquire personal information about you from third parties.

How we use it

We use the information you give us to respond to your inquiry, coordinate scheduling, deliver the advisory work you have hired us to do, and send you the operational communications a paid engagement requires. We do not use any of this information for marketing automation, retargeting, or list-building.

SMS communications

Durango Advisors operates a small business SMS program through Twilio. The program is one-to-one: it is not a marketing list and we do not send bulk promotional messages.

SMS Program Disclosures

  • Consent: by giving us your phone number, whether through the contact form, by email, by voice, or by texting our business line first, you consent to receive SMS from Durango Advisors related to your inquiry or active engagement.
  • Purpose: coordinate scheduling, confirm appointments, exchange short operational notes related to a current or prospective engagement.
  • Frequency: varies. Typically a small number of messages per month, only as the conversation requires.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier.
  • Help: reply HELP at any time to receive contact information.
  • Opt out: reply STOP at any time to be removed from the SMS program. You will receive one confirmation reply, after which we will not send further SMS messages to that number unless you opt back in.
  • Carriers: the program operates over major US wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • No sale or third-party sharing: we do not sell, rent, or transfer your phone number or SMS content to any third party for their own marketing purposes. Twilio processes message delivery on our behalf under Twilio's standard terms and privacy commitments.

Third-party processors

To run the website and respond to inquiries we use a small number of vendors. They process information only on our behalf and only to deliver the function we hired them for.

  • Cloudflare hosts the website and provides Web Analytics. Cloudflare sees the IP address of every visitor by virtue of routing the traffic.
  • SendGrid (Twilio) sends contact-form notifications to us and an autoresponder back to you.
  • Twilio delivers the SMS communications described above.
  • Microsoft Bookings powers the booking calendars at /RMCF/corporate/book-a-time/ and /RMCF/store/book-a-time/; only people we invite to those pages use them.

None of these processors are authorized to use your information for their own marketing.

No sale of personal information

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade personal information to third parties. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing or advertising. This applies to SMS phone numbers, email addresses, names, and any other information you give us.

Retention

We retain inquiry messages and engagement-related communications for as long as the engagement is active and for a reasonable record-keeping period after it ends, typically seven years to match the standard professional records retention practice. SMS opt-out requests are retained indefinitely so that we honor the opt-out.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time. We will do so unless we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or professional-records reasons, in which case we will tell you what we are keeping and why.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is inaccurate.
  • Delete your information, subject to the retention exceptions above.
  • Stop sending you SMS (reply STOP, or email us).
  • Provide your information to you in a portable format.

Send requests to inquiry@durangoadvisors.com. We will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for these requests.

Children

This site and our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Transport-layer encryption protects information in transit between your device and our infrastructure. Contact-form submissions are relayed via SendGrid. SMS is delivered via Twilio. Our website does not store or log message content beyond what is needed to deliver it to us. No internet-facing service can guarantee perfect security, but we keep the attack surface small on purpose.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The effective date at the top of the page reflects the most recent update. Material changes will be highlighted on the page for a reasonable period after the change.
